Anyone we know? I do hope not!

Just around the corner from me and I think I recognise the unusual green Fronty. Perhaps I shouldn't jump to conclusions and stereotype people but the '£1,000 worth of music equipment and amplifiers' gives me an idea of the type of person involved :-k

The choice of recovery point is interesting as well :(

Also is it me or do you think the undoubtably brave member of the Hemsby Inshore Rescue Service felt a little bit daft being fully suited and booted and tied to a safety line whilst wading in 18" of water on a beach my 4 and 8 year old daughters have swam on

reminds me of the guy that stopped me on Asda carpark and asked how to engage 4wd in a discovery - when I said "it IS 4wd" he replied - No thats the OTHER sort of Discovery - his was 2wd as standard - and I quote " cos the bloke at the garage said so - cos it saves fuel" - guy was wearing baseball cap, track suit tucked into socks - and a stereo that made ears bleed at 100 yards, Nuff said!
kind of plank that finds a playing field and does do-nuts to show off to his mates.

Ah that is easy! To engage 4wd simply re-fit the knackered front prop

There seem to be a few people out there who've managed to get themselves into a 4x4 without the faintest idea of what the funny levers do. Generally if you try to explain the concept of a locking centre diff it goes straight over their heads!

Undoubtedly brave but still a victim of "the fun police".  Anyone else watch the documentary on health and safety inspectors the other night.  What shocked me is they're all pretty poor drivers

Not to my knowledge it isn't. There are a few slipways in the area were you can drive onto the beach to launch your boat from a trailer but that is it. Definately not allowed to go for a jolly between Scratby and Great Yarmouth (as I understand they were doing). You used to be able to get permits to park on the beach for fishing and such but I don't think they are issued anymore or at least the local council have never replied to my emails or letters on the subject

Somehow I think if it was legal it would look like the wacky races out there :-k

There are actually very few beaches where it is legal to drive a car, other than to launch a boat. Often that now needs a permit.
I can only think of 2 in Wales now, Newport and Black Rock, plus there is an RoW along another one in Pembrokeshire. Pendine has been closed.

Looking at the map of that area there aren't even any RoW's on to the beach.
