Freelander Td4 odd noise
« on: January 20, 2009, 23:57:58 »
OK.... in drive (its an Auto) 50 mph plus, so the drive is locked in, foot down about 1/2way, and it sounds as if the engine fan comes on. Engine temperature is normal, engine is smooth and quiet and all seems well.
Any ideas, as I have not noticed it before today,
thanks,
Dave

Is there a bit of delay between pushing the pedal and the noise? If so, it could be a split turbo hose.

Yep................... its a split Intercooler hose, more paying out!
Still, it is a nice motor, so worth it,
