Best 4x4xvery very far!!

I always wanted one of these as a kid and as an adult nothing's changed just read the spec!!!!   [-o<  http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_lists/high_performance/features_classic_cars/10_vehicles_for_the_apocalypse_feature__1+page-4.html    I remember reading about it and they tested it on a track against a cosworth and it beat it of the mark.. :lol: it also overtook the works peugeot 405 t16

hmm that tourag v-10 tdi later on in the feature looks one hell of an engine!

I think it beat the cosworth all the way up to 100 mph.  They were dropped from the dakar because the drivers kept killing themselves.

I remember the year when the seventh fastest vehicle around the Dakar prologue was Francinsco Perlini in his truck. Damn, those things were ludicrously quick.

There's a great story (repeated to me by a friend who's actually driven De Rooys X1) that De Rooy was invited to bring his X1 to a demonstration at Thruxton - they asked him to use not a lot of throttle to stop it lifting the tarmac on corners, and the straights! De Rooy just took to the grass instead - needless to say it didn't slow the thing down!  :lol:

That clip posted is an absolute classic!  :cool:
