V8 engine overhaul
« on: January 25, 2009, 19:16:16 »
Hiya
Im looking for recommendations for someone who knows what they are doing to have a look at and if needed overhaul the 3.9efi in my Disco.
Its done 160,000 miles now and I feel is getting a little tired, At this kind of milage Ive been told that a top end overhaul might be a good idea. Im going on tour for a few months so this would be the ideal time to leave the old bus with someone and me not miss having it around.
Anyone have any ideas??

Oh Im in Essex, but dont mind traveling a bit...

I can!!

The guy who did my head gasket is very reasonably priced and I'm very happy with the quality of his work. - He's based in Brentwood.
If your mobile no's not changed, I'll text you his number.

Have PM'd you his number.

The guy is Martin @ Island Land Rovers, I'm sure he'd not mind his mobile no. being given out on a forum like this, but, just in case I've kept it private.

However, if you're about on Tues night he's very likely to be at the the Brentwood LRC pub meet at the Tower Arms in South Weald. - Fancy a beer?
