Just been for a walk up to the main road, and it's not clearing as it normally does through usage, not been gritted so like a skating rink under tyre tracks.

i started of near hull this morning, and bit and bobs of snow, fixed my rear trailing arm bushes and drained the diff ready for a 100 mile drive home, then we got blizzards, had to get out to defrost the spot lights after each snow storm, mansfield had quite alot but buxton doesnt seem to have that much yet
perhaps just as well as ivea brocken universal joint to attend to in the morning 20 cm of snow might make that a little fun

We've started to get some, hopefully it'll settle. I'm at work tonight, so I'll have to go out and see how the Plod BMW performs in the snow
if it's anything like the one that just tryed getting up the hill outside our house should be fun!!!

SitRep from the Land of Shagg-Pyle

As I thought, Plod BMW's don't like the snow. RWD, with Auto gear box and ABS is a useless combination! So much for superior engineering from the Fatherland!
Our fun started at 04.00hrs, with a sweepstake as to when the first snow related RTA would come in. I guessed right with 6.15hrs, when a car slid down a hill into a tree. No, it wasn't me!
I've had to move my private cars from outside the house as we live on a corner. No sooner had they been moved, a complete cock comes round the corner and whacks into the kerb

Ask yourselves this question boys and girls. Is your journey really necessary? If not, take the day off and say the Police told you to stay at home ;) :police: I won't tell if you won't.
Enjoy Mother Nature's finest gift, but please be careful. I'm off to sleep now. Catch y'all later!

A reasonable sprinkling here - I've discovered that worn ATs do not give as much steering on snow as they did when new
