"Stickers" failed it's MOT back in September, mainly due to the fact that there was very little metal on the body that was still connection all the rust together.
It needed inner wings, battery boxes, outer sills, ROOF & inner body panels, the rear floor had been done a few years ago.
So, after 9 years of reliable service, it was time for retirement, there was just too much that needed doing and it would have been easier just to replace the whole body.
The search started for a new 'toy' and I ended up with a 03 plate Discovery TD5 XS, in black with a half-leather & suede interior, 6 disc auto changer, 13 speakers, reversing sensor, air-con and the rest of the normal electric things on it.
I've added cruise control for £45 (two switches) and the roofrack from Stickers is now on there.
EGR has been removed and a K&N airfilter fitted, along with one of those boxes that links into the ECU & gives you Warp 9 at the flick of a switch. :D
Plans for the future include and ARB winch bumper (I'll be calling Tim for that ;) ), General AT2 tyres and maybe change the rear airbags for springs, but it's got new bags on it so no point in spending on those just yet.
