why did I get out of bed
« on: March 13, 2005, 18:54:19 »
It started pretty badly on friday, I had 2 dentist apointments, friday, and another one in a couple of weeks, each to have a tooth taken out, I turn up for the firat one, and she whips both teeth out, with huge, and I do mean huge, pliers, so my jaw is killing me.
Sat wasn`t much better, I was in pain for most of the day, felt like I`d been kicked in the gob, so I decided retail therapy was the way to go and bought a 2nd hand A bar, some satin black Hammerite, and a set of the cheapest spots on the market (£12) which will probably stop working the first time they see water. I got the A bar on, painted it, and the bumper, fitted the lights, fitted the relay and got all the wiring sorted, all that was left to do was wire in the switch onto the dashboard, but it was getting dark, so I left it.
Sunday, woken at 7am by the baby, mouth hurt, so I got up, spent 2 hours trying to wire the switch in to the spots, with limited luck, got them so they would come on with the main beam, but when you pressed the switch to kill them, the wires starting heating up, so I gave up and we went shopping. got home, ready to go to Hangovers place so I could fix a couple of probs with my oold car (1.8 TD mondeo (for sale)) when the Bro in law rang, he`d smashed up his car (stupid git) so spent afternoon trying to get him, and his crappy little peugot back to newark.
on the plus side, when I got home, I did manage to work out the wiring fault, and now my spots work  :D
Don`t blindly follow where others lead, go you own way, and leave a trail. which, being in a Land Rover, will be of oil.

Well, I went back to bed this morning; I worked a 16 hour shift yesterday; everything in the warehouse was on a go-slow; I finally got out on my run to London & the Home Counties at 3.30pm, the van was packed to the gunwales, and it was a 'long' route   I was held up on the M1 for about 40 mins due to some poor sod's car going up in flames, and I finally got back at 2.00am this morning!! (Got back from Heathrow to Lutterworth in just over an hour tho!!   The pedal was well and truly introduced to the metal!! )   Went to bed at 4 after unwinding, took the bratties to school and went back for a snooze, set my alarm for 12.30; it was 3pm when I woke up!! :(
