did the half day at the chilterns site last week - drove a G4 spec disco 3, great fun! get about 3h in the car, do as much road or off-road stuff as you like, we did ~40mins on road and rest off, mix of hills, descents, muddy/rutty tracks, water, woods etc. depends on exact course. Very, very little hard sell - disco 3 sells itself.

..and they give them out free!! http://www.landrover.co.uk/gb/en/go-beyond/Experience/Land-Rover-Experience.htm

I've been past a few times, & have seen a variety of vehicles there.

One memorable 'pass-by' saw a couple of 'G4' specification Range Rovers trundling aroound.

Apparantly, the sections seen from the A65 are merely the 'shop window' & the harder stuff is back in the woodland behind the Hotel & lake

Yup been there and done the half day there.

There is harder stuff than you can see from the A65 but your not allowed to drive it unless you pay for the whole day jobby :(

You get some time on the road, he literally takes you down the road, you jump in, go down to one of the villages and back along the main road (set route).

Then he takes you round the bit you can see from the main road.  Then he takes you into the woodland and you do a couple of ascents/descents where you have to hit a tennis ball with your wing mirror.

I think you choose what car you want when you book it, so we had a D3.  They did have a G4 D3 down there but it was on show only.  They had everything down there though, they had a 110, TDV8 Range Rover, D3, Freelander 2 and a Range Rover Sport.

They drive you through the axle twisters et.............. tbh, it wasnt all that bad for a free thing, but i wouldnt have paid for what we got.  I am still however trying to pursuade Bettyblue22 to let me have the HOTL full day jobby for me birthday :D lol

I just got free voucher from main dealer, and it's only about 1hr away for me, so sounds like it could be worth the drive out then...

Have been to a couple of corporate days there, good instructors as well, we had Ronnie Dale and Glen McKeith excellent guys, may be different but we had a go in all four vehicles, 110, Freelander 2, D3 and RR V8. The G4 replica one appears to be used as the runabout.

Have been to Rockingham Castle (East Of England)a few times as its only 45 mins away, driven RR, and D3,  booking a 110 next go around, though our last instructor told us the Freelander 2 was very keen off-road.
