plain stupid
« on: March 09, 2009, 17:16:24 »

yesterday i went up on the the plains on my bike......i was up there with a group of us in 4x4's ( the normal group outing ) having a days laning. they were all in their trucks while i was happy on my bike....

anyway i let the groups go through a water hazzard while i waited at the side as it was a little deep for me to go through...... so once they had all gone through i went to the right of the water and got stuck in a small cross rut.....as i went to pull the bike back some ( not very nice person)  in a white land rover 90 decided that it would be funny to come through the puddle next to me and cake me in mud and water...

once i got out the hole i thanked him for his efforts....

while there are people out there doing stupid things like that , we as a 4x4 comuntiy will never gain any respect with other lane users....its plain stupid....

there was a offroad club sticker in the back window but to be honest it could of been bought and sold......so no point in worrying too much a bout that..

sorry all i just needed to get that off my chest ;)
cheers

report that reg no to the police as it is an offence to splash someone on porpose.

I had some one deliberately come accross the wrong side of the road and go through a puddle whilst I was pulling wheelie bins to the lorry once and I was drenched. Unfortunately I didnt get the number. It isn't big, it isnt clever and it CERTAINLY isn't funny.

The "on purpose" bit is the hard one to prove. Now, in your case it obviously was intentional as he veered across the road aiming for the puddle. But in other cases it's hard to prove whether they're actively trying to soak someone or if they're just a blithering idiot who needs a quick course in hazard perception.

The guy should be named and shamed as it's those people that give us a bad name........ he saw you there and then put his foot down and the other 2 that was with him drove through with care so in my eyes he knew what he was doing and did see you!!! for god sake he could not of not seen you!!!
if Den does not post the reg number i will....as i said name and shame the git.
