Stolen Bonnets
« on: March 16, 2009, 12:51:33 »
I have a good friend that works as a crash repair technician for the Pendragon group (landrover/jaguar/aston martin etc)
He has been allarmed at the fact that in the last week/ten days he has had three defenders come in for a new bonnet, he just texted me to say there is another on its way to him aswell.

They are all "new type" with the bulge for the Puma engine that have gone missing and so far they are all diferent colours. one black, one silver, one rimini red, I bet the fourth is blue.

He works in Stourbridge and they have so far as he knows taken bonnets from the Bromsgrove area and today from the forecourt of Stratstones Stourbridge (ex three counties landrover)

As the auto jumble and Landy show season progresses I bet we will hear more of this sort of thing happening.

At present good 2nd hand Puma bonnets are around £250 and td5 are fetching @£75, so its an easy way of making cash for them...

BUT ONLY IF THE PUBLIC BUYS THEM  [-X [-X

So when you see stuff that looks tooo good to be scrap at the jumbles be aware that it could belong to someone else.
