Spare key and alarm fob
« on: April 14, 2009, 23:41:08 »
now unfortunately I only have the one so where can I get a spare transponder key and alrm fob from without breaeking the bank?
Ive read all sorts and if you have 2 keys you can program your own but since I have only one.....................?????????????????

Does this mean the WJ's key is the immobilizer? and the fob the alrm unlock lock?

Cheers

have you tried contacting the seller or dealer for the 2nd key ?

i am sure you can get the key fobs off ebay and then find the link to program those.

they also operate your seat memory with the 2 settings you program in.

Just get one from the stealership ............... £100 isn't that bad !!!

On the 2 Jeeps I've owned, the driver's side door mirror always seems to be set lower than I want it everytime I get in the car - seems to have a problem with the memory !!  Out-bloody-rageous !!!

It's a known problem, if you watch them as you switch off the imobiliser they move. Supposed to be able to clean some of the sensors in the mirror to stop it happening, I just press up ;)

I adjust it too ............ not really a big problem is it !!  Sometimes when I'm sitting in the Jeep waiting for someone, I also hear mysterious movements from the seats !!!! Lol !!
