take the seat of the runers and cut a square of hardboard and put that on the botem of the seat then get around 5 realy thick zip ties and put theas acros where the springs used to go.

You can replace the flexolator ( wire bit in the middle ) with 6 peices of pirelli webbing turned and rivited ( washer each side and a pop rivet through , two in each end) to make a loop then tread the loops onto two bits of 6mm bar and hook the springs onto the bars and the edge of the seat (sort of ladder effect with rubber . the webbing costs about £2/3 mtr from your nearest upholsterer and it would take about 2 hours to whip the cover off and swap them over including making them up  ;)

this is how I fixed them when I was in the trade. :D

Did a temporary fix on mine just before last years birthday bash. Used a length of strap, type of thing you use for tying loads down. looped it round the existing rods on each side from fron to back and pulled it tight.

Still on there now and working fine. I sold the seats i brought to replace it
