Tow Points

Having just got a 99 Grand Cherokee V8, I am puzzled re where the front tow points can go. Seen the Jeep ones who are open hooks not brackets but they, accordingy to info on web site
http://jeephowto.com/
seem to indicate that the whole front grille and bumper needs modifying to fit. Is there a simple way of getting some brackers bolted/welded somewhere suitable under the front end without removal ? Any advice appreciated.
