Exhaust and blowing!
« on: May 08, 2009, 18:53:37 »
I have 2 issues!

First off where do i mount the exhaust to on my 1988 110 2.5td.  I have 2 of the 4 parts of the exhaust (the downpipe didnt need replacing) and there seems to be nowhere to mount the exhaust to??  My current one is just hanging loose apart from where its ratchet strapped to the chassis! lol

Secondly when she starts from cold, she smokes like mad, and i mean proper cant see through it smoke, yet when she warms up there is absolutely nothing!  I mean you can rev the hell out of the thing and there is no smoke when warm??

Its supposed to smoke.... :D

As for mounting your exhaust I dunno how similar it to the 2.5 petrol.  From memory there is a mount on the neaqrside chassis rail on a little bracket.  It bolts round the exhaust with a bush or 2 between the clamp type thing and a bracket on the chassis.  There is something similar at the back, just forward of the rear axle.  I think....
