My 200Tdi Discovery engined Defender had an annoying loss of power a few weeks ago.  Still ran fine, still pulled OK bottom end, still showing Turbo boost to .8 but running out of steam on hills and only just managing to get to 70 mph.   I changed the fuel filter, I cleaned the air filter, I checked all the turbo hoses.  I cleaned the intercooler, still no change.

Whilst under the bonnet today I noticed the pipe that connects the turbo to the diesel injector pump.   It was about the only thing I hadn't checked so I took it off and had a blow through it whilst pinching the end.   Guess what it leaked!   Fortunately the split was at the end near the fuel pump so I hacked a bit off and put it all back together.    Pulls like a train again now and I dare say it will do more than 70 if it was legal to do so

Don't you just hate problems like that.

It's not a real car unless it's over 30 years old!
Classic cars are the ones who's owners wave to each other. I just bought a pretend car! F plate 90!
