Hi,

i understand its a range rover classic rear 4 bolt prop, but from what year,  which diff flange do i need? is it the same as disco 300tdi front diff flange??

either a front 300 tdi diff or late 200 diff an a 200 tdi disco rear prop

You just need the input flange from the front of a 200tdi diff. It bolts straight on after removing the spider and flange from the 300. I would suggest using a new lock nut though.

Swap it for a 200tdi rear prop and  200tdi diff flange.
Planty of breakers on Ebay.
Chuck the donut at your nearest LR dealer !!

I did mine last week - brand new 4 bolt diff flange, nut, seal and dust cover £35 ish, second hand prop £25 and stuck a fresh UJ in at diff end to be sure - nowt of a job and drives much better now it's not vibrating at anything above 65!
R reg 3.9 Discovery on LPG - pretty standard at mo.

If you want part numbers you will need the following:

1 x STC4858 4 bolt differential flange
1 x 200TDi Rear propshaft

And a set of four propshaft nuts and bolts
