sporty running problems
« on: June 01, 2009, 21:17:44 »
hi all,
i picked my new sporty up on sunday at kirton and it was fantastic untill the engine got up to normal running temp, then the idle rose to 2000 and as soon as i tried to drive it lost all power and almost stalled at about 4500rpm...
as soon as it had cooled down again it was fine until it warmed up..

anybody got any ideas?

cheers, james

hmm, mine does funny things like when i dip the clutch in 2nd to change down at a roundabout, it dies, then if im quick and lift the clutch up fast, it kicks in again!!! strange!, never had the problem you describe though. coolant leak? and is the fan working? my temp gauge never goes over the half way mark ( apart from last weekend but we dont talk about that)!. :-kyou could try googling daihatsu drivers uk, they may be able to help.

Mine had eratic idling untill I fixed the coolant leak, sounds to me like a sensor causing it to confuse the injection ?
