MoT advisories
« on: June 04, 2009, 14:53:25 »
I have just acquired a sierra XR4x4, been looking online at its previous MoTs.

The last advisories state Nearside and offside steering component area is corroded but not considered excessive (2.2.c.1g)

What would this mean? It has had same advisory 2 years running, must need repairing by now.

I have had a quick look but cannt see anything by the steering that this would be, however there is slight rusting by the suspension turrets would this be the bit the tester was talking about??

Could be, the strut is part of the steering and suspension, but it might also be well underneath and only visible on the ramp.
