Time to sell
« on: June 06, 2009, 20:09:57 »
I have reached a decision it is time to sell my 200tdi disco, I do enjoy driving it but I have just started a new job and need something I can travel the country in at more than 55mph.

It has just had new timing belt kit, has 265 anaconda tyres on wheels with a bigger offset.
The front seats are half leather from a rover coupe, the carpets have been removed due to the amount of muck I kept getting in there.
There is a light bar with 4 spots that also have 2 LED sidelights each. I have also changed the headlamps to sealed beams as I got fed up of the fish bowls on the front.
I also have modded the front bumper and added a heavy duty tubular rear bumper.
There is rear work lights with red LED angel eye brake lights.
The MoT runs out in August and the tax is there until end of July. Boot floor has been patched but is solid and all oils have recently been changed. There is also an electric fan as the viscous seized but the new fan seems to have stopped working not had time to investigate.
It is silver with satin black bonnet and roof and it has a glitter in the lacquer which shows up when clean and sunny.
Oh and it has full wading kit - full axle and box breathers with homemade sealed snorkel. I may even throw in the Homer if I get what I want for the truck. I will also include the CB and aerial.
I want around £1000 but am semi negotiable if anyone interested then please get intouch.

Why not just fit a set of sensible road tyres and cruise the country at a leasurley 70mph.

Had that thought but while I own the disco I feel the need to get muddy which often results in breakages . Unfortunately I cannot be without a vehicla so the temptation to play and break it must be removed.
