figure i best introduce meself ...
not too long ago i bought my first ever landy ..
built a ramp out of pallets and bits of tree and transported it home
then found some of it needed replacing
looking better
bolted back together complete with new front axle, truckcab and spot lights and we're away enjoying the rattles and slowness of a 2.25 diesel, great fun for a couple of weeks
after a while i got fed up of struggling to get out of junctions etc and being limited to 35-40mph so out came the spanners again
so in this goes
lots of thinking and a little mixing of components from other manufacturers and under the bonnet looks quite tidy
the next job was to stop it having to rev so high to maintain a reasonable cruising speed
this was fun
i've since swapped the rear springs (fronts still to do), got a capstan winch to fit and assorted other ideas to tinker with but i've learnt quite a lot about the older landies in the past 4 months and it's been 99.9% fun with an awful lot of grease and crap thrown in for good measure...
anyway here's a picture of how she stands at the moment (yes i am a picture whore
)
