Urgent question
« on: June 20, 2009, 17:47:41 »
can any one tell me if a range rover classic zf autobox  is the same as a disco 2.5 zf auto box ?

Took the one out of the disco I've just put an engine into only to find out the torque converter wasnt lined up & we broke the dog/pegs on the box ,

there is one on ebay @ the moment local & cheap but need to know in the next couple of hrs.

thanks in advance

John

The internals are different between a V8 'box and a diesel 'box to suit the differing engine power/torque. Bell housing is different, not sure about torque convertor but I suspect so. However if the rangie was a TDi diesel everthing should be ok.

Hope this helps
