Mild Lifting on Grand Cherokee WJ V8
« on: June 22, 2009, 09:18:44 »
I would appreciate any advice, experience of getting a smallish increase in clearance ie without major suspension rebuild, don't want to change wheels or tyres just a little more room. Have seen Old Man Emu shocks and springs.............at c.£300 plus fitting, any views or ideas welcomed

When you mean "a little more clearance"do you mean ground clearance? cos you wont get any more ground clearance without putting bigger tyres on ....and to put bigger tyres on you have to raise the suspension,if you raise it say two inch you can do it with two inch spacers ans maybe longer shocks. Its pointless to raise the suspension if you arent gonna put bigger tyres on. :D

you can lift them 3" simply by fitting your front coils on the rear and fitting new 3" lifted front coils and getting longer dampers that way it only cost you one set of coils or if you dont want to go that far you can get 2" poly spacers of eblag which just sit ontop of the coils
if they are the same as the zj(suspension wise) i have a pair of skyjacker 3" lift front coils and a set of four longer procomp es9000 dampers/boots which was on mine (which ive just got rid off) and some other bits like wheels and tyres throttle boddy spacer/jet chip[http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3566/3313187541_cef7fb9619.jpg?v=0/]
WHAT UR ASKED WHEN YOU OWN A MOG
