Maplins do decent speakers for sensible money, otherwise Halfords and buy some the same size.  The size of the magnet on the back is often a giveaway to how much grief they will take.

yea there 4 inch dude . .  then the only other aspect you gota look at as RRB said the size of the magnet on the back that it isnt to big or deep cuz it will hit the window . .  may note be bad going down as it will scrap against the window but then u wont be able to get the window back up as it will jam against the speaker . . hope that helps dude . .

ive got...
2 x kenwood 130 watt 4 inch in the front doors,
2 x sony xplod 250 watt 6 inch component speakers in the back panels,
2 x 12 inch subwoofers in a ported box in the boot,
a 1000 watt amplifier to run the sub woofers
and an 800 watt amplifier to run the 4 speakers in the doors and back panels....
and a very ill fitting pioneer bluetooth head unit in the pitifully small space that landrover put the stereo!!!

the mirrors vibrate with the bass when i crank it up!!! lol

and all together it cost me more than i paid for the truck!! lol

so what im trying to say is you dont have to replace like for like.... just as long as they fit!!

I've upgraded my sound system loads
iPod stereo with uprated front speakers/tweeters, 6x9's in the rear pillers and a 1000w 12" sub with 800w amp
Sounds awesome

to start with i had the door cards with the 2 speekers in, one up high and one neer the floor. theas speekers were terible, mite have something to do with the lower one spending most of its time under water but even the top one was a wast of time and then a good fraind of mine gave me some door cards with just one speeker in it and they was much beter even for a standard speeker. I was then given some sony 6x9s and put them in the boot. you can get a stanly and cut the shape of the speeker out and screw it in with long screws it wont sit flush but it will be ok. you may want to put some small screws in that small speeker panel to hold the extra weight. If you put the speeker to low the corner of the dicki seat will crush it so put it a bit higher.
