On the outer L/h (the r/h prob the same)outer there is a spring clip on the end of the shaft.Stick the shaft in a vice and hit the cv joint with a hide or plastic hammer this will compress the ring and catch the cv.You can then strip the cv as normal, rolling the cv to drop the balls out.The inner l/h pushes out towards the bolted end.Make sure you get the right boot as I was offered four types for mine. The haynes manual says they do n't come apart, anything does with a big hammer.
Now got some camacs and bfg a/ts can't get it stuck.Need longer legs.

Just seen the photo,it's the drvers side.If you clean around the inside(transmission end) of the outer cv joint there is a split ring around the inside edge remove this and you should be able to remove the balls.the haynes manual shows it quite good.

Don't bother splitting the CV joint, get a stretchy boot, they just slip over the whole joint, you can use a 2 litre pop bottle or buy a special cone, the boots are about a fiver and the cones are about £7, the first one I did I used the pop bottle method, but it scrunches a bit, so the next time I bought a cone, what an absolute doddle.
