Anyone had a problem with their TD5 Alarm?
« on: July 03, 2009, 22:37:16 »
Mine is playing up, went over a pot hole while driving and it went off, stopped the car at home the alarm stopped. locked the car using central locking, made 4 beeps (never done that before) then alarm went off, went for 30 seconds stopped for 5 seconds then went off again, this happened approx 10 times then stopped fully. Got back in the car after 20 mins, drove a short way to a mates, then it all happened again. It doesn't affect the immobilisor or ignition. I have now removed the siren, its genuine land rover (which explains alot) anyone else have the problem or any good with alarms or have a handbook??

IIRC that indicates a mislock one of your door/bonnet sensors isn't working or contacting properly.

I think MSP is corect there, the number of bleeps is a "code" to tell you whats at fault, I seem to remember the info is in the handbook (but that could be off another car I had )

Gaz

Try unlocking and locking the drivers door then use the blipper to unlock.
Also worth checking the battery in the blipper/fob. sounds stoopid but solved same problem on a mates mota
I love to get my landy down and dirty
