Take it back to where you bought it, they should replace it for you under warranty if its only two months old.

You should be able to strip the starter and solenoid down to component parts to clean and put back together - done a couple now.

It probably is fixable but don't take it to bits yet, get them to replace it if its faulty, the warranty should be for 12 months so whatever you do take it back and get them to sort it, its your rights to do that - they are liable to make sure that the part is fit for purpose so don't let them fob you off with anything less.

I probably better qualify what I said... you can strip them down, clean and put back together and keep your fingers crossed! The last one I stripped and cleaned worked for a while but packed up again eventually.
You can probably get service pack's for them but in the end you'll more than likely end up having to get another starter motor.
It's the same starter motor for the majority of the 2.5 diesel LR engines.

As Frank said, it's probably more a case of a replacement under warranty... assuming it hasn't had any abuse likely to give them grounds to refuse exchange like being submerged sort of thing  8-[
