One minute they were there, the next thery were gone!!
« on: August 24, 2009, 22:31:03 »
Went to a mates to pick up some wheels, involved driving on his lawn to get them, the next minute i hear a massive bang from the roof, i get out to find all my spots missing from the roof bar, i had driven into his washing line (which he had made from 4mm steel cable) and something had to give, found 2 on the lawn, one in a bush and one in a hedge 10 meteres away! all snapped off, a little lateral thing and they are mounted back on the car, lower of course! All spots are still fully working, (now i have wired them back on of course).

A colleague of mine wrote off a Merc Sprinter personel carrier a few weeks ago, after going into a car park with a height barrier on it.
I thought the mesh windscreen guard that was in the up position, scraping under the bar would have been a clue.
What gave the game away?

The roof getting lower inside.

Hmm.
