hi again  :)

i hope someone can help me,
i have just found out some very kind person  :evil: has removed my rear washer jet from my 300tdi disco and pushed or let the pipe fall into the  bodywork and now its vanished, i have removed the rear corner speaker thinking i can get to it there "no way".
 so i was  :-k about how i can  get to it with out magor surgery on the panels or removing them

You need to remove the panel that the speaker is fitted into BUT as I found out last week the hose on the inside of the body shell isn't the same piece that goes to the jet itself. Where it goes through the inner skin there is a push-fit connector (that doubles as a grommet) and a short final hose on the other side up to the jet.

It didn't matter to me as I wanted to get the hose back inside the car anyway but if you're looking to refit a jet then go careful.

I used the small end of a large tie-wrap to hook the end of the pipe back to the hole in the door. It's fiddly and you'll probably curse a few times ....

Or you can just remove the screws down the side of the panel and ease it away until you can get ur pinkies in there to refit the hose.

the haynes book of lies says do not drop the hose in between the pannels! I just took the plug off the end of the pump so no water ever got pumped that far as I gave up searching for the pipe! Didnt do much good anyway :lol:
