Warn winch remote replacement

Any idea where I can get one on-line? Mine has disppeared just as I've pulled all the wire off to fit my new plasma rope. I'm not sure which way the wire/rope should be spooled on either, does it feed from the bottom or the top of the drum?
TIA

Not on-line, but Devon 4x4 will sell you one.
Winch rope normally spools onto the bottom of the drum, so the drum is rotating forwards as it pulls the rope in.

I assume when you say forwards you mean that the top of the drum is rotating forwards? That's pretty much what I remember and dont think it looks right if it went to the top - the angle the cable would have to go out is too steep.
Thanks!
What's bugging me more than loosing it is where I lost it - I only used it once in the last 4 weeks and it's not at that sight I just checked. Where on earth did it fall out :-(

Yeah... forward as in the same way the wheels would be going.

hmm, maybe a good time to buy that wireless remote winch kit.. £99 hmm tempting.. much easier to loose though, or knowing my luck the batteries would run out at the wrong moment!

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Thanks Paul, I may drop him a mail as he says he can get other spec ones (mines a 5 pin), although postage from states may be fun :-)
Hmm, I hope the remotes are waterproof Kev, maybe I'll have to get a neck strap for it!
