Hi-lift/farm jack bracket.
« on: April 03, 2005, 22:53:44 »
Sick of the jack takeing up space in the back.

I have seen pics of a bracket that fits onto the swingout spare wheel carrier. Any thoughts on this and where can I get one (only seem to be on sale in the usa).

or there is the 4xRAC kit if it would fit on the bumper behind the bullbars

I bought the proper Hi-Lift so it can be stowed in pieces, remove handle and foot, slide body off jack and keep in bag, then the 'standard. can either slide behind the front seat base on a 4-door or you could make a simple bracket to screw it to the top of the front bumper.  The standard on it's own is far less likely to get nicked and won't mind getting wet so badly.  Then again in pieces it's much easier to stow.
