Holes in the outrigger!! Any ideas???

Alright guys

Just about to buy a 109 s3 Safari :dance: ( "71 )

Just got  some pic back off the chassis..... not too bad....

just one picture had me worried!

check out the holes in the chassis and out rigger?

look like there meant to be there or should i be worried??

thought please!!

whats the problem,they look fine. If you dont like them being there blow some weld in them?

Id be careful as if there are some visible holes there are no doubt some oter bits that are paper thin (unless there are there deliberately, i dont know enough to answer that).

The holes look like they are meant to be there (?mudflap brackets). Looks like the outrigger has been repaired. The main chassis rail looks a bit thin and may require welding but that's what you can expect from a nearly 40 year old vehicle.
