Don't know about "latest & greatest".... but the gas DeCarbons have always done it for me.
Gas is definitely better than oil, and the DeCarbons beat the ProComps every time (any type of ProComp)

I'll second that. De Carbons with good bushes and springs will give you a Disco that will cheerfully cling onto hot hatches.
