dont take this the wrong way as im on your side

but whats the point? leving becasue someone has [!Expletive Deleted!] you off, if i did that i would have left this club ages ago

this person may have annoyed you and you may wish to avoid further incidents with club members but why leave? becasue all of us have the potential to screw you over? if thats your general take on things you shouldnt drive because some one MIGHT hit you, you shouldnt breath becasue you MIGHT get swine flu and you shouldnt eat becasue you MIGHT get saminella.......you know what i mean. just have a think before ending your account.

Absolutely nothing to do with it as has been pointed out by those who know...

My sympathies with anybody who feels the need to stop doing something they enjoy due to the actions of others.
Hope things get sorted out

Please don't leave the club mate. The actions of one person certainly don't reflect the general membership or the clubs ethics (which are second to none).

Obviously, I don't know what the issues are, but I hope you find a solution soon.

Ive had several dealings with Club members, most of whom i have never met, i have found ALL the members ive dealt with to be honest and trust worthy; i for one would want to know who couldnt be trusted.

They have sent me items before recieving any money, and one i gave a substantial amount of cash to purchase something on my behalf.

I have never been let down by the members of our "family" of fellow 4X4er's, and really hope you can sort this out.

Your problem should be dealt with by an area rep or administrator, before agreeing to name the guilty party. But then the guilty party should be named and possibly banned from the site.

To the guilty party, if you are in the wrong sort this out amicably; if you have no intention of doing so then LEAVE!!!!!

I feel your pain, I too was taken for a ride back in July 2007 by a member on here and I drove all the way to Brackley, nearly 80 miles, took the guy on trust only to find out when I got home and opened the box to find I'd been ripped off with 1 set of lifted rear springs and 1 set of std fronts.

It would have cost more to go back than the springs were worth but his time will come.

I wouldn't and didn't let it drive me away from the forum, But I won't have anything to do with this guy again even if he was selling a mega bargain which he seems to do a lot of selling on here (makes me wonder if he's running a business buying and selling stuff Hmm wonder if the tax man knows now there's a thought).

This is a shame that you would even think of leaving the club."DON'T" The fact of the matter is its a big club lots of members. The chances are that there are some right scum bags among us as in everyday life but there are some great guys on here to.
I would just urge anyone who is buying anything of a member they do not know be very cautious and sensible about what and how you buy.

There has been many stores of people ripping people off on here but as Jas said we tend to here one side of the story, and never here who is at fault so others can learn and not deal with that person, so it goes on same people same stores. I'm not saying this is right or not. "Just Be carfull out there guys"

I went through a similar period of not wanting to join in after my unit got broken into last year.  I lost 2 RRC and thousands of pounds worht of stuff (the day after I found out it got burned to the ground so I lost a lot more) and what was galling is that all the stuff that was nicked was LR stuff, so I knew it was a fellow "enthusiast".  I too didn't want to be a member of any comunity populated by theiving scum.

Thing is some of my best mates are members on here too, some came to our wedding and one is my son's godmother.  Don't let the actions of one **** spoil it for you, there are such people wherever you go and yes they possibl exist on here too.

But on the whole we are all mates, common purpose and all that, all for one and one for all.

If you do leave then I at least will understand, but I suggest you don't burn any bridges yet.  If you go to ground for a while then so be it, all the best mate and keep the rubber side down.
