maybe you as a buyer was let down buy a seler that had something stolen ??
just thinking of some complications that could well acure

where do we stand as buyers and sellers. whos responsibility?

seems odvios its the buyers responsibility but say it was a delayed colection and it was a car that could no longer be keped on the drive due to space etc just thinking wors case sinarios?

well if its stolen from a seller half way through a auction the seller should cancel the auction . but if its stolen wilst awaiting a buyers delayed collection i would say its the buyers fault as he has enterd into a purchace agreement with the seller to collect on a said date . now if the seller has had a iteam removed from the road due to it being illegal prior to the agreed collection date then you might have a leg as did they tell you it was illegaly parked and needed moving asap. was it ilegal prior to the completion of the sale if so they would have known that it would be removed

I'd have thought that until the money changes hands then it's still the seller's property, and therefore their problem if it's stolen while awaiting the buyer?

I would also expect ebay and most buyers to be understanding, providing you've reported it to the Police and got a crime number. I know my reaction would be one of sympathy with the seller and shared anger at the thieving  :-# who pinched it!

I would say that if you have sold the item and it is waiting for collection by the buyer; and its stolen whilst still in your possesion it would be your responsibility to refund monies to the buyer.

The buyer has not recieved the goods he has paid for, and you should be very careful with other peoples property (if they have paid for it) as you would still be responsible for its loss/damage.
