hi new guy here , use to off road a range rover years ago , missed it ever since....

just brought a blue 89 vitara , fairly solid needs body mounts welding up ,

so far painted it bright orange , nearly finished the 3" body lift ,(box section) and will weld body mounts up at same time,

read hundreds of posts about whats needed,  i heated the 2 gear levers and straitend them slightly and had to extend steering shaft by about 1" , need to lover the brake piep mount on inner wing,  going to make a snorkel (3" stainless tubing in stock for that,)  remove anti roll bar , and do the 2" sus lift,

i have a lump of polyurathane so will prolly make the spacers up on my lathe

i understand i only need 1.5" spacer for front to get 2" lift????

also will flip strut mounts,

also raising fuel tank 3"

will post pics asap ,

thanks ken

hi ken
nothing wrong with that spec buddy
i wud'nt bother with the strut flip thou u really dont gain very much musch better to buy some dampner spacers

and yes you are correct about the front coil spacer but if you intend to fit a winch or hd bumper id stick with the same size alround

hope this helps

im planning on making front and rear bumpers with usa receiver style hitch so i can use a winch front or rear....

when you say damper spacers for front i take it you mean from b4vits whats better the strut spacer of the damper spacer?

i thought ' everyone' did the strut flip mod??

although tank is still out of it at mo as rear offside chassis is well rot so making some new bits up today

thanks ken

hi ken
tbh different people call the same item different
strut spacer i think b4v call it
i call them dampner extensions
but yes get a pair to gain 1.5" if you flip the tops ur ont get that much iirc

plus fitting the extensions is quicker and easier imho

hope this helps
