alrite guys If i totaly strip down  a 200 axle could i replace it with a 300 axle?? im aware the splines might be difrent on half shafts and diff but what im saying is are the casings the same once all striped down ??

Yes i'm sure that the casings are the same, as you say, different splines in the shafts and diffs but the casings are the same.

Maybe not, the ABS axles, all 300 TDi axles had the "inner" oil seal running on the halfshaft, all older non ABS trucks had the "inner" oil seal under the head of the driveshaft, the outer end of the hun/stub axle.  Half shafts and stub axles vary accordingly.

I also learned recnelty that later axles had a different thread on the calliper bracket.

thats right when i swapped my 200 axle for a 300 you cant swap the calipers as bolt size and thread are diffrent to
