Usually I go around parents and have full one Chrimbo affair cooked mostly by mother, sister everyone else that they commender to help out where as my mrs goes to her parents. But parents have scooted off to Austria this year so family is fragmented! I wanted a Christmas picnic lunch on Sailsbury Plains but that idea didn't go down too well. So we staying at home and having nice top side beef roast instead of turkey. Defo got to have prawn cocktail start though - the 70's child in me - futher more I managed to find a black forest gatty to finish the effect.

3 days later and just about halfway through the beef...   only so many cold beef sandwiches one can stuff in.  It's like a never ending cow flavoured turkey nightmare.    I'm going to cube the rest, fry up in ghee with some turmeric and cumin then make a dry curry.
