Light bar or Camel style roof rack W lights?
« on: January 10, 2010, 15:00:58 »
Happy new year all,
After promising myself that i wouldn't spend anymore money on the disco untill the MOT and tax has been sorted I fear that im being drawn into the dark side again and after seeing a RRC in work jacked up etc and with more lights on that the Blackpool tower it got me thinking.
I love the look of the camel trophy style rack and once its jacked up with some modulars bolted on would look like the nuts but i cant find a rack of this style for sub 200 notes +vat, and at that price the light bar is a clear winner!
Does anyone know of any companies that i have missed that do replica or lookalikes?? Ive been on camelroofracks.co.uk, padock and a few others that google has thrown up.

Thanks in advance

John

BTW its a 300tdi

Sadly, I don't think you will! Most of the 2nd hand "Camel" (Safety Devices) roof racks are £350+.....

Somebody on here made themselves a very neat roof rack from electrical conduit - might be worth having a dig through the older threads to see if you can find it.

Conduit - basically metal tubes which are surface mounted with wiring inside.
