Land rovering instruction and day out
« on: April 12, 2005, 16:08:19 »
Hi all

I am trying to find a reputable company that does off roading days out that would include some instruction.  Would prefer it to be in the East Midlands area but will travel further affield for highly recommended venues.  The land rover would need to be included as it is a present and I will not be taking mine with.

Thanks in advance to everyone.
 :D

Went on a training half day with them and it was well worth the money. The guy who did the training was very plesent to boot.

My Diff lock siezed at the end of the day and they spent ages fixing it and made it fun rather than 'whydidIbuyalandrover?' and 'ohmygodhowamIgoingtogethome?'

Land Rover Experience are quite expensive, but very good.  When I went they put a strong focus on safety and responsibility, rather than just hooning it through ditches.  If you can afford it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

A "young" lady we know went to Global Pursuits at Kirton for some off road training, to say she had a good time is somewhat of an understament, can't get her to shut up about it.  :D

Here's some of what happened

Been underneath that Discovery more than once    . Other than the Land Rover expeirence try the other side of the business (bit cheaper) at www.protrax.com

Not been to Lee James but understand he is OK. Did his instructor course at Protrax as I remember.

We did a course when we first bought the landy and taught us some really good basic skills.  We went for a training day with protrax at Tixover quarry northants, Ed Cobley was our trainer and most entertaining.

Did enquire at time with lee james but they were a little more expensive as i reacall.
