can see if your ISP is discriminating against youtube traffic with bandwidth shaping.

My connection showed up as average 6.76 Mbps which is higher than the average for my ISP (virgin media), town, England and Great Britain.

I think the jist of the test video is about ISP discriminating against certain traffic and throttling the speed for things like google cloud services, skype, youtube and such and ways to statistically detect if your ISP is messing with you. Because google runs a fair chunk of those services it has the statistics and is not afraid to use them :)

I specifically went with madasafish since they didn't throttle or shape (it's in their t&c's)

They've just been taken over and I noticed that my speed dropped on a saturday evening. Moved from port 80 to 81 for a couple of downloads and low and behold back to full speed.  :roll:

Now back to trying to find an ISP which <doesn't> throttle or shape.
