Windscreen & frame removal
« on: February 12, 2010, 17:29:30 »
I need to remove my windscreen in its frame. I've removed the frame to roof bolts and the three bolts each side to the false hinges. Does the screen & frame just push out now? how do I get the frame free of the 4 pins at the bottom of the frame, any tips on refitting? Any advice would be welcome. Oh its a 300tdi if that makes any difference.

The problem might be that the angle at the top could stop it moving forwards under the roof edge, because it effectively has to move upwards as you hinge it out.  As you say, there are pegs into the bottom that stop you pushing it out bottom first. You might need to undo the roof bolts and lift the roof slightly.

Thanks for the advice, i managed to fit the screen & frame without loosening the roof bolts. Bit fiddly and needed an extra pair of hands - thanks Paul.
