999 rant
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:10:35 »
I have a micro car I use for work on Thursday night about 8:45 there was a loud bang I rushed out and the car had been turned over
And there was a gang of youths running of I chased them as the wife phoned the police
I managed to catch one of the scum about 200yards away from the house

Now I was quite happy safe in the knowledge the police would be rushing to my aid,
So when a second scummy returned hurling abuse (he had very distinguishing features) I hurled abuse back at him as the rest of the gang started returning I decided to reassess the situation
Stood in the middle of the road in PJ’s and slippers fighting a gang of youths was not my idea of fun
So I returned to the house and with the help of neighbours put the car back on its wheels
Looked at the damage
Drivers door bent at top
Rear view mirror smashed
Scratches all over the side of the car
Door glass smashed

This is the second time the car has been attacked
Saturday before Christmas the top of the door was bent open and someone got in ripped a handful of wiring out from under the dash
That cast me £100 for a door to be posted to me and a week sorting the wiring out

ANYWAY THIS RANT IS GETTING ALMOST ALONG AS IT TOOK THE POLICE TO ARRIVE

Well back to the story the wife phoned the local police station at 10 to see how long it usually takes to respond to a 999 call and about 10 mins later a police officer arrived at the house

He came as soon as he got the call ( so I wont shoot the messenger )

He was as helpful as can be explaining the as the car is damp they would be unable to get finger prints and if they did they couldn’t prove that a person touching the car is the person who actually pushed it over

After I gave him a description of one of the youths he recognised him but couldn’t do much as no one had seen them push the car over

I was out of the house within 3 seconds and the only people in the street were the gang of youths running off dropping cans of beer

Then again they could have been scared off by superman flying down and pushing my car over
Bullocks  they did it the police know who they are and I’ve got to spend £150 on parts for the car

RANT OVER

Never underestimate the power of a sick mind !!!!
What would scooby doo!!!!
remember if you camp next to the toilets you get to meet everybody at least once over the weekend

That is why around here we don't call the police we deal with the scrots locally.

Sorry to hear about your car mate. You made the right decision by letting the little sod go although it probably didnt seem like it at the time. You hear so many horror stories nowdays of people being attacked by gangs for trying to protect there property.

Sad to say but the police are powerless to stop these little [!Expletive Deleted!] and these kids know it. When my girlfriends house was broken into and her car stolen it took the police 2hours to arrive. They made many excuses as to what took them so long. They were very helpful but sadly never recovered the car.

They do have a tough job and they must find it as frustrating as we do seeing people laugh at the law. Maybe we should adopt the way they deal with criminals in the middle east. You commit a crime you lose a hand!! I bet crime would be down by 50% over night lol

It always seems to be the same little scrotes every time - the Police know them, but can't actually gather enough evidence to prosecute (and even if they do, they get a punishment that isn't effective).

Community service would work if it was properly funded. Problem is, it needs to be backed up with something more solid as the repeat offenders just abuse the system. I would suggest something along the lines of fining them the full cost to their victims of their actions, and if they won't pay then send bailiffs in. Hit them in the pocket so they can't afford more cheap cider and horrible synthetic clothing!

Though admittedly anything of value around them was probably stolen, so you can't win really...

I vote for this option. I had a motor bike stolen once, we found out a local gang had taken it, told the police and they would not do anything. I got the bike back in the end but I cant say how on an open forum.
