GO 3 X DEEPER IN DERBYSHIRE

TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND STILL GET MUDDY....GO UNDERGROUND!!!
A rare opportunity to go DEEPER in to the Great Masson caves, get DEEPER detail about geology and DEEPER understanding of lead mining.

Tours will be led by Tony Wood chairman of the Peak Mines Historical Society. These will last approximately 2 hours. On arrival via the Cable Cars guests will gather at the Summit bar for tea/coffee for an introductory talk by Tony Wood who said ‘ it will be vital everyone understands that they must follow the  instructions of the 3 guides. It will in places be wet and muddy, very low ceilings and rocky floor so safety is paramount although none of the tour is dangerous.’
Limited availability for H&S reasons will mean a max. 25 per tour.
NB Wellington boots and waterproof clothing ( which will get muddy) are essential. Hard hats and torches will be provided.
Tours are at 11am on Saturdays March 6th,13th, 20th & 27th. Please book in advance on 01629 582365
Normal prices apply (not suitable for under 10’s or people with visual, mobility, hearing difficulties for safety reasons).

One for a day with the kids  :cool:

My step Dad Colin and his friend Pete was involved in the Derbyshire Caving Club for many many years, (they introduced me to Cider at the merry age of 14  :lipsrsealed:)
I remember one Shaft he took me to as a spotty teenager, they where opening up, called Robins Shaft I had the best muddy day underground ever (though wasnt allowed to far)  :lol:
