hard top to soft top
« on: March 15, 2010, 21:21:00 »
Hi Guy's

Help needed again  , just bought a hood & stick set for my 90, took hardtop off yesterday & fitted sticks etc but unsure on the front fitting, in the box of bolts/bits there were 4 threaded bolts/springs with black plastic type of catch's on but cannot figure out where they go, the rail on top of the windsreen I presume just bolts on but I will have to drill hole all the way through ?, also 3 'heel' shape brackets that I cannot work out where they go, it came with a wolft top so unsure if thses are any different from the normal canvas type.

any help/advice welcome or if anyone has a canvas top & is close enough to Brum could I come & have a quick look at theres as to see how it fits,

Thanks in advance

Have a look at this page from the All Wheel Trim website...........

http://www.allwheeltrim.co.uk/defender.html#Defender

Click on "identifying your 90/110 header rail"

The first pic should show if you have the correct header rail for your ragtop........

The second one shows how the catches go.................
