front prop disco 1

my front prop uj were very worn so i had another and replaced had to grease it and one end was a bit tight so i split it am i right in thinking that they only go back one way as there is a larger spline on tghe shaft only allowing it to fit one way because now its fitted the two end do not match or are they meant to be like that any ideas  and no i forgot to mark it aswell :(

the larger spline unless im mistaken is to allow the grease to travel down the shaft as if you look on the outside thats where the grease niple is. if you look on the splines of the other half there might be a spline that is less worn due to it being between the large gap that may help you line it back up. if you get what i mean. also there is like a polly film covering the splines that can sometimes get lifted back and make it stiff. take it back apart check it out pack it with greas then try again rotating it each time until it feels smooth.

sorted the prop out had marks on it to line up regreased but the problem was the bearing on the front ouy put shaft was worn and lots of play have ordered one to replace lining the prop up did get rid of alot of the vibrating so hopfully will get sorted in the week
