Is it possible to change the bearing & oil seal on the front output shaft without removing the transfer box from the vehicle.

you can remove the whole front output housing with tranny in situ.

Do I have to remove the big round cover at the back of the box and take the bearing & shaft out that way? where are the transfer box identification numbers?
