« on: April 23, 2010, 09:17:38 »
Hi all...

Our next project for Kirsty's Disco is fitting a set of facelift headlights... Has anyone done this, or know where I could find some more info on how its done???

Cheers

Dave

Will try and find the guide i saw :-k, i know the wing is different on the D2, so the wing on the D1 needs trimming to suit, but looking at my two on the drive it doesn`t look like major work

From one I saw a while back, the Wing is actually further back on the 300-tdi, and if you fit the facelift lights you end up with a gap between the light and the wing.

Did you mean 200 to 300, I've just done mine and it looks really good. Simmonites do a kit but it's the best (or worst) part of £300!!

Also if its just standard TD5 lights you want they are a straight swap for 300tdi headlights (only the headlights though) but this doesnt apply to the later TD5 style lights.

D2 pre facelift lights are a straight swap for D1 300 type, so that  takes just 20 mins. That's the way I went.
