if it is the drop arm ball joint thats got the play in it,they should point it out properly,but i'd say its the steering box that needs adjusting,which you can do by undoing the big nut on top of the steering box,then turn the adjuster in the middle of the nut,then retighten the nut when you have got all the play out,but be careful not to go to far or the steering will either have a tight spot,or just go tight full stop,because of wear on the main shaft in one place,straight ahead possition usually,hope this helps mate.
