It's not in Leeds, but there's a good independant LR garage over here to the east of Wakefield.
He's (as far as I know main-dealer trained) & also has an interest in classic cars.
Admittedly it's a bit out of the way, but one road from jct 31 of the M62 (then 300yards off the A-road)

But the obvious question really, is which part of Leeds are you in?

There's also 2 independants in Dewsbury.
1.
Dewsbury 4x4

They do some nice restorations, their own 90 is a good example

Martin Dransfield owns this garage, he's one of the 'Q&A' guys in 'LRE'. He also has a background in Comp Safaris  - both racing & building, so his welding is certainly 'up to scratch'

Sorry  ,can't remember the name & hence can't find a phone number.
Must try harder

How about a truck repairer?, they'll be used to chassis work.

John Robinson in Armley, for example?

I know an LR Dealer mechanic who works from home on a weekend. Has a very nice modified 90  :D

I've got his number if you are interested, don't know what he charges  :?:

I've said several times that I would love to do that, but unfortunately the hours I work don't allow it  :(

Very interested andy, I would have thought this would be the cheapest sensible option. All been well I'll collect the project this coming week, so no immediate rush.
