Tread Depth in New General Grabber AT2
« on: June 25, 2010, 20:27:39 »
Hi All

My new Disco II was fitted with AT2 255/55R18 when I bought it. I have found these to be very capable tyres and am pleased with them.

I have just measured the tyre depth, and have readings varying from 9mm to 6mm. As you would expect.

Question.... What depth were they originally? Just want to get some idea of how long they are going to last.

Question 2 ... on the disco, do the front or rear tyres wear more?

Many thanks

Ed

I got over three years out of mine (30,000 miles ish)

Just looking at changing them now, but only because I need MT's for a while, they're still  OK
